Membership in MINING is open to all healthcare informatics professionals, across all clinical and educational settings, who are interested in the use and promotion of health information technologies. The purpose of MINING is to provide networking and low cost educational opportunities.

MINING was established in 2000 and has had 150 plus members since it's inception. Meetings with ANCC accredited hours are usually held 3-4 times each year. Formal, affordable seminars with nationally recognized speakers are held 1-2 times each year.
